Bowl cut - A bowl cut, also known as a pot haircut or mushroom cut, is a haircut where the hair is cut short on the sides and back and allowed to grow long on the top, looking as though someone put a bowl on the head and cut off all the visible hair. Perhaps the most famous bowl cut wearer was Moe Howard, who wore it as part of his Three Stooges persona.
Axial cut - An axial cut is a type of jump cut, where the camera suddenly moves closer to or further away from its subject, along an invisible line drawn straight between the camera and the subject. While a plain jump cut typically involves a temporal discontinuity (an apparent jump in time), an axial cut usually does not.
Editor's cut - An Editor's Cut of a motion picture is made by the film editor on his/her own, or working with the film director. The editor tapes together the first cut of the film, the "editor's cut", arranging the separate takes into a coherent story according to the plan communicated by the director.
Jump cut - A jump cut is a cut in film editing where the middle section of a continuous shot is removed, and the beginning portion of the shot joined to the later segment of the shot with a straight cut. Any moving objects in the shot will appear to jump to a new position.
